Description: All about relationships & timings

We now know how to plot our own BaZi chart and will move a step ahead.

We will now look at some basic BaZi special relationships (what's it showing/telling us), special factors (hidden and rooted) and the important of timing.

Lastly, we will do a case study. Anyone wish to have his/her Bazi read can send his/her Year/Month/Day/Hour of birth.

So fasten your seat-belt...... :P

The ancient Chinese YIN-YANG scholars thought the universe was divided into three parts. The first part is Heaven, the second part is Earth and the third one is for all living species. Because humans are in charge of all the living species, the third one is named Man.

We can find Metal, Water, Wood, Fire and Earth everywhere on the ground. The Chinese scholars named them the Five Elements. (Note: The word “Element” does means tangible element. It’s more towards “environmental condition”). Man live between Heaven and Earth just like the Five Elements. Therefore Man must maintain a relationship with the Five Elements or be like them. As there are affinity and enmity relationships among the Five Elements, there must be similar relationships among Man (human beings, that is).

For example, trees have their own growth cycle in between Heaven and Earth. Man must have life cycles similar to those of trees. The seasonal changes affect the growth of trees. Trees grow faster in the spring and slower in the fall. The environmental changes also affect the life of trees. Without adequate sunshine, trees grow too slowly. With too much heat, trees will be dried out. Without water, trees cannot grow. With too much water, trees will be uprooted and afloat. With insufficient earth, trees will not grow tall....

The Man life cycle is also affected by the same seasonal and environmental changes. The seasonal changes come from the Sun and Moon which are the clock for the calendars. The Chinese calendar is designed from the Sun (thus the Solar calendar) and the Moon (thus the Lunar calendar) plus the Stem-Branch (concept from trees) cycle. Chinese YIN-YANG scholars have for thousands of years applied the Five Elements on the Chinese Stem-Branch calendar. This way Man can get their Five Element weights using their birthdays and times (refer http://z14.invisionfree.com/taoism_singapo...?showtopic=1333 )

When the seasons and environment change, the Five Elements have certain responses. Man respond in a similar way. The YIN-YANG scholars made predictions on the Man life cycle, from birth to death, by using this natural phenomenon. Thus we have Heaven Luck (Destiny), Man Luck (Your prerogatives/personal choice) and Earth luck (Yin/Yang House Factor, another area of study by itself).

Heaven's Luck: This is known as destiny, fate, karma, or luck. Heaven is the source of spirit, believed to account for one third of the influences in our lives. This is our gift at birth, our fate, or karmic inheritance.

Man's Luck: This is what we develop and achieve through our efforts of hard work, discipline, education and the development of personal virtues. Man hold their place between Heaven and Earth and are the bearers of that unique force of human spirit, or will. This accounts for another one third of the influences upon our lives.

Earth Luck : The source of essential elements for life. This is where Yin/Yang House Feng Shui enters our lives by harnessing the energy and forces of nature. Earth's Luck is our invitation to use the tools provided around us to our advantage. By practicing Yin/Yang House Feng Shui principles, we can alter, enhance and support the positive aspects of Heaven's Luck as well as channel both the positive and negative aspects of Man's Luck towards our best interest.

The Five Factors:

The inter-relationship of the Five Elements (together with the Yin Yang polarity) produces the Five Factors, namely:

Wealth Factor

Output Factor

Influence Factor

Resource Factor

Companion Factor

These Five Factors relates to our daily life (whether we like it or not). In short it control our life. Thus an understanding is critical if we want to understand why and what's happenings as well as to enjoy a better lifestyle.

The Wealth Factor:

The Wealth Factor is the element that is controlled by the Day Master. From the above chart, Wood controls Earth, thus Earth is the Wealth element to people with Wood Day Master. Similarly, Metal control Wood, thus Wood is the Wealth element for people with Metal Day Master.

However, bear in mind the Yin Yang polarity. In decoding, one must also be aware of the season of the Month Earthly branch and other factors like Hidden stems and the Ten God. No, these 'Ten God' are not deity. It's only a name given to ten influencing factors (more on that later).

Let's look at one example:

This is a Jia(Wood) guy. Thus his Wealth element is Earth. But there is no Earth element in his chart. Furthermore, he was born in Shen (a dry Autumn). Thus he will need Water.

Also note that his Wealth element is also his Wife element. Thus his wife will not have much influence in his life (but not a bad wife too as Earth weaken Fire-thus will assist indirectly).

From his Luck Pillar, it can be seen that his early life (from age 4 to 34), he had a very very hard life. His life begins to gets better or calmer from age 34 to 54.
His life will be good from 55 onwards.

In general, this is not a very bad life after all, as he can enjoin his Middle and Golden Age!

[Note:
i) The Year & Month Heavenly stem Bing & Xin combination (which will produce Water);
ii) The Hour & Day' Earthly branch, Wu + Wu together is known as 'Self punishment'.)

The OUTPUT Factor

Output Factor is the element that is "produced" by the Day Master (in the production cycle in the Five Element relationship).

The Output Factors represent the following:

i) a person's creativity;

ii) a person's intelligence;

iii) a person's expressive ability
iii.i against the norm
iii.ii Achieve the extraordinary
iii.iii Stand out (in the crowd)
iii.iv initiate a plan/strategy

iv) a person persuasive power

v) communication skills

In a chart where the Output Factor is a Favourable element, that person is surely to have a strong personal drive and determination to succeed. This person is likely to be creative, talented (in oral skills), teaching, marketing or acting and singing skills.

The INFLUENCE factor

INFLUENCE Factor is the element that "control" the Day Master (in the production cycle in the Five Element relationship).

INFLUENCE factor represents:

i) Authority
ii) Charisma
iii) Nobility
iv) law & order
v) Strict adherence to rules & regulations.
vi) The Husband star ( for ladies).

INFLUENCE factor is a two edged sword. A person with a Flavourable Influence element is normally a person who is law abiding, conservative, respectful and honest.

However, a person with too much Influence elements are people who are rebel, non-conformist, always defying authority or must have their own ways.

A person with an Unflavorable Influence element usually are people who is radical, restless and does not like to take orders and advice from others.

The Influence Factor/element is very important to a lady as it represents the Husband. Care is needed to read this special element (especially the season of the Month branch must be carefully taken into account).

The RESOURCE Factor

The RESOURCE factor is the Element that produces your Day Master.

It represents:

i) Your personal perceptive, i.e your thinking and knowledge;
ii) Your learning ability
iii) Your wisdom
iv) Your family background, i.e your roots
v) Support/help from superior
vi) Your intruition or sixth sense

People with a Flavourable Resource factor are individuals who are intellectuals, loves learning and focused on continuous self-improvement

Thus people with an Unflavorable Resource factor are likely to have poor intellectual skills and probably have bad habits, lazy and pessimitics. Hates learning, usually are dropouts, etc.
